Denzel, a teenager from the "colored" township of Ennerdale, takes part in the Miss Gay Transvaal competition - a drag show. The cameras are on Denzel, as well as his mother, and a local gay rights activist in attendance. A film about a mother and son coming to terms with each other and themselves, and an incisive look at gay life in South Africa.

"There has never been a more positive, more intelligent, or more entertaining documentary about gay people in South Africa. A great piece of film-making."- Outright (South Africa)
